The 2008 National Conference provides an opportunity for the business community to support the work of Catholic Social Services Australia.
Catholic Social Services Australia is the Catholic Church's peak body for the delivery of social services nationally, providing around 500 services to over a million Australians each year through 6,500 staff in 64 member agencies in remote, regional and metropolitan Australia.
For over 50 years Catholic Social Services Australia has promoted better social policy for disadvantaged people.
Our agencies work with some of the most vulnerable Australians, providing intensive support for people who experience serious barriers to employment, long term unemployed people, families in distress, single parents, older Australians, people who live with mental illness and people who are homeless.
This year's conference theme is Social Inclusion: An agenda for all Australians.
The theme reflects CSSA's interest in the Government's social inclusion agenda, which has the capacity to lift people out of poverty and to ensure all people can contribute to, and participate more fully in their local community.
Each year the conference is attended by directors and other executive staff from our agencies. This year the conference is open to other non government organisations and the wider community. We anticipate 200 delegates will attend.
