Anti-Poverty Week 2008

Poverty and severe hardship affect more than one million Australians.  Around the world more than a billion people are desperately poor.  The Anti-Poverty Week website provides information about anti-poverty activities and access to resources about poverty and hardship. Professor Peter Saunders from the Social Policy Research Centre also began the recent Catholic Social Services Australia's national conference program with his Anti-Poverty Week lecture, Towards a New Poverty Reduction Agenda: Principles and Actions.
